Hearing Tests
Our facilities have sound-treated booths where we conduct our comprehensive hearing tests. We recommend children receive hearing tests periodically. Adults only need a hearing test when they feel their hearing has been compromised.
After the tests are complete, we will discuss our findings with you, as well as any treatments or hearing aids we recommend to help you achieve optimal hearing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a hearing screening and a hearing test?
A hearing screening is a quick, initial check to determine if you might have hearing loss. It’s a pass/fail assessment that helps us decide if further evaluation is needed. A hearing test, on the other hand, is a comprehensive evaluation conducted in our sound-treated booths to measure the type and degree of hearing loss.
How often should I have my hearing checked?
We recommend that adults have their hearing checked if they notice any changes or difficulties. Children should have their hearing tested periodically to ensure proper development. Regular check-ups can help detect issues early.
Can you help with hearing issues related to medical conditions?
Yes, we use video otoscope exams to visually inspect your ear canal and eardrum. This helps identify if a medical condition is contributing to hearing loss, allowing us to recommend appropriate next steps.
Are you contracted with any insurance providers?
Yes, we are contracted with United Healthcare insurance. Please contact us to verify coverage and discuss any other insurance questions you may have.
Do you offer free hearing screenings in Fayetteville, NC?
Yes, we provide free initial hearing screenings at our Fayetteville office. If the screening indicates potential hearing loss, we will discuss the need for a comprehensive hearing test and any associated costs.
What should I expect during a hearing screening?
During a hearing screening, you’ll undergo a brief assessment to determine if you have hearing loss. If results suggest a problem, we’ll recommend a full hearing test. It’s helpful to bring a friend or family member for support and to discuss findings.
Do you provide services for veterans and individuals with special needs?
Absolutely. We welcome patients of all ages, including veterans and those with special needs. Our team is experienced in providing compassionate, tailored care to meet diverse needs.
